The Project

When I started creating serious 3D printed designs, I realised that I needed to document some data, techniques, and commonly used dimensions. In the spirit of open source, I decided to make this publicly available through a cheat sheet.

It is available here: github.com/gregsaun/maker_cheatsheet

Some examples

Here is an exhaustive list of the most useful information that I share:

  • Differences and nomenclature of Gates belts
  • A script for Autodesk Fusion to make starting a project easier
  • 3D printing techniques, such as selective infill, nicer vertical holes and sharper corners
  • Typical PETG sizes for nuts and screws
  • Tolerances for shafts and holes
