Since 2005, I have created several websites to showcase my photos and projects, as well as the amazing work of other artists on the web.

The first site was a portfolio all done in PHP. At the same time I built a blog based on Dotclear. I made a theme along with custom graphics.

In 2010, I coded a new website with image preloading and custom spam filtering (for the contact page), still based on PHP. In the same year, the blog was moved to Blogger.

In 2014, I started using Koken, a powerful content management system designed for photographers. One of the biggest advantages is that it was designed specifically for artists and with a great gallery handling.

Koken was discontinued a few years later and it took me until 2025 to rebuild my portfolio, this time using Hugo, a static website generator. It’s a much easier system to maintain, lighter and safer as it’s only HTML and there’s no CMS needed. I used the theme Papermod and coded several conveniences to make my life easier. As of 24 May 2025, this website is GDPR compliant, W3C tested using validator.w3.org, SEO tested and a long gallery of photos consumes only 0.13g/view of CO2, which is cleaner than 88% of all web pages globally. The website code is available in my custom Codeberg repositories here and here.
